Excellent, friendly, well connected, committed and passionate promoter. Brilliant chaser and focused on getting results. I really enjoyed the Cd campaign Richard ran for me, he reached parts I could never have hoped to reach! - Andy Kirkham
(I have worked with him on 2 cd campaigns with the recent campaign for his album ‘Not One But Another’ being very successful and leading to many positive reviews and airplay).

At an extremely competitive rate, Richard launched my debut solo album "Good Day Mr. Magpie", bringing good reviews in many international music magazines and websites, inclusion on a FATEA compilation album and many radio plays. All of this has helped me to get loads of gigs and festival appearances and generally raise my profile as an emerging artist. Thanks Penguin! - Ben Avison
(I worked with Ben promoting his solo album and both of the albums that he made with The Moonbeams).

You do a great job. Your dedication to the arts is certainly visible in the approach you write the press release. Your talent and expertise has really improved our work with keeping our fans up-to date with events and also finding new audiences. Thank you for all your support - Anna Mudeka
(I worked with Anna promoting her Drum and Dance workshops, Southburgh festival, and walks to raise money for schools in Zimbabwe amongst other things in 2015).

Richard gave us a great service promoting our album. His hard work, contacts and enthusiasm combined to get us airplay and coverage we'd never have got on our own - and all for a fraction of the cost of many PR people! - Adam Clark- Nobodaddy
(I gained them a great deal of coverage, reviews and airplay for their album ‘Longing For Flight’)

Richard you have been a really big help with my business and all the festivals I have managed. Thank you so much for all the press releases.  I have gained so many wonderful reviews, been on TV, radio, newspapers, magazines all thanks to you and many more places that you put my events and business. I can not thank you enough. Really hope to work with you again next year regards Caroline Dwen - RosyLees tearoom
(I worked with Caroline promoting her tea rooms, the Loddon carnival and scarecrow festival amongst many other things.)

At the start of the year I was sitting at my kitchen table with Richard Penguin planning my album campaign.  It was a DIY budget but he had big ideas, lots of enthusiasm and a very big list of contacts.  I hadn’t a clue but I went for it. A few months later I was sitting in The Gramercy on my last night in New York reading that my album was on The Telegraphs best folk albums of 2015. There’s only one person I can thank for that: Richard Penguin. His hard work and respect amongst peers paid off - Holly Lerski- singer songwriter.
(I ran part of Holly’s cd campaign for her album ‘Wooden House’ with 23 out of 30 cd’s being reviewed or given airplay, and ran the press campaign for her short tour gaining interviews and features).

You have an imaginative and inventive approach, amply demonstrated by the bold stroke of changing your name to Penguin, to give but one example - Lorenzo Bedini- Airbridge
(I ran the cd campaign for their ep ‘Return’ their first new release in 30 years and gained reviews and airplay for them across the world)

Richard Penguin has worked on 2 of my recent albums in the UK.
I have always found him to be efficient, thorough, honest, and helpful in every way. A pleasure to deal with; and a good bloke - Luka Bloom
(I worked with Luka on 2 of his album releases in 2013 and 2014).

During 2015 Richard Penguin promoted my recent CD. Placing niche music in a saturated market place is a daunting task. Using creative means of targeting Richard was able to get the CD aired on numerous radio stations and reviewed in major music journals. Achieving these things took determination - Ian Dunlop
(Ian was in the International submarine band and early line up of the Flying burrito Brothers with Gram Parsons and has written a book entitled ‘Breakfast in Nudie Suits’ about life with Gram in the 60s).

Richard Penguin has undertaken two CD promotion campaigns for us and in both cases has been successful in getting us numerous radio plays and magazine reviews. The most recent campaign was particularly successful resulting in, amongst others, positive reviews in Q magazine and the CD being elected to the Daily Telegraph's top albums of the year 2015. Richard has been unfailingly enthusiastic and accessible in all our dealings with him and we would not hesitate to make use of his services again - The Moonbeams.
(32 of the 40 cd’s that I sent out for The Moonbeams for their album ‘Watching Wildlife’ were reviewed, or given airplay).

Richard has been synonymous with the eclectic music scene in Norwich and beyond over the last couple of decades. Through his network of contacts he has promoted a great number of acts both locally and nationally. From press releases to obtaining reviews, interviews and radio airplay, we’ve always found him personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. A man with genuine integrity - Philip Lewis-Jones (Bark Prelude)
(I worked with Philip on both of his Bark Prelude albums leading to several reviews and a great deal of airplay).
